Museum Klok & Peel

Klok & Peel

The Museum Klok & Peel is located in the village of Asten in Brabant and is a combination of two collections. In the collection of clocks, you’ll find historical church clocks. The collection of clocks and bells is big and is still being supplemented with new pieces. In addition to this, the museum also has the largest library and largest documentation regarding clocks in the world. A clock from the Notre Dame is central to their permanent exhibition, because this clock was made in Asten!

In the section on the Peel, the natural and cultural history of the Peel and its surroundings is highlighted. The history of this area is depicted in various scenes: from 10 million years ago until now. From fossils to peat cutters, from primitive cattle to golden helmets; you will learn everything about the history of the Peel.

Museum Klok & Peel gives a unique insight into the natural history of Brabant and the clock industry.

The mission of MuseumTV is to introduce art and culture to the biggest audience possible. We do this on our joint video on demand platform for Dutch museums. Through our partners we bring the platform to the attention of the Dutch public actively.
